" I’ve had a fascination with lion dancing since I was young. Whenever I perform I often find that kids are transfixed to the performance just as I was. Even though they love watching it, many of them don’t know the meaning and the story behind this symbolic ritual.

I wanted to share my passion by designing a simple and fun way for them to develop a deeper understanding of this tradition. It’s a lot more than just loud noises and cool acts. " - Ching T.

Culture Creatures' first project 'Kwan the Chinese Lion' was a personal side project Ching worked on with the help of his wife Linda.
Ching wanted to share his passion and most importantly educate people of the hidden stories and meanings of Chinese lion dancing that is often overlooked when watching a performance. This project became a reality when it was successfully funded through Kickstarter in 2015. We'd like to thank our funders, friends, family and various Lion Dance troupes for supporting us and helping us make this happen.
